Mixed Billing

(commencing November 1st 2022)


The Directors of our Business take pride that we have been offering you quality healthcare and wellbeing service throughout our time in Murray Bridge.  To continue to maintain this, a difficult decision has been made to move to a Mixed Billing practice.  This will assist us to remain sustainable despite the government pressures on Medicare reimbursements. 


The  rising costs of staff wages, medical supplies, insurances and utilities, coupled with the fact that the Government has only increased the standard consultation fee minimally over the last 9 years, it is financially no longer possible to continue to provide high quality medical service whilst bulk billing all of our patients.  We do not want to compromise our good service and reputation. 


Our commitment to providing you with care does not change.  However, we are compelled to change our Business Model to remain sustainable and ever-present in our rural and regional areas surrounding Murray Bridge.


Doctor recruitment and attraction to rural areas is a constant challenge and moving to a mixed billing practice is certainly an advantage to accessing and retaining doctors.
