“Walk Ins” are always welcome and should we have available appointments at the time we would gladly help out. Appointments can be scheduled on the day or in advance. Our reception staff will be happy to assist you in making an appropriate appointment with any of our doctors. If your doctor is unavailable, an alternative option/day will be offered to you or another doctor may be available to see.

New patients are always welcome at The Murray Bridge Day & Night Surgery so please call to have a chat and make an appointment anytime. 

Yes ... longer appointments are available upon request. Should you have a medical problem or multiple issues that you feel may require additional time please let the reception staff know so that we can adequately offer you that appointment time. Pap Smears, Mental Health and some surgical procedures often require the additional booking time and resources can then be arranged to accommodate the needs.

If a language other than English is spoken, please bring a family member or friend to interpret (if this is acceptable to you) or a Translation Service is available and can be contacted at the time of consultation. Our doctors also speak languages in addition to English. Please see the doctors details for a list of other languages. 

If you have a medical emergency please call an ambulance on 000. For medical attention outside normal surgery hours, please contact the Murray Bridge Soldiers Memorial Hospital on 8535 6777. 

This practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal health information. Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of staff. Please see the privacy statement on the reception counter for further information.

Prescriptions can always be asked for and discussed at the time of an appointment or if you need one urgently there is generally an appointment available on the day or next couple of days either with your preferred doctor or an alternative doctor will be offered. Prescriptions cannot be ordered over the phone. Medications need explanation and monitoring of your health whilst taking them is important.

Both positive and negative feedback is always welcome at our surgery. We can only improve if things are highlighted to us and we always like to hear good news as well. Please download our forms by clicking here . Alternatively these are available upon request at our reception desk. 

Yes – Referrals to specialists are undertaken with consultation from our doctors. If you have a preferred specialist in mind please bring along those details. The Surgery has a list of specialists that are commonly used or who may frequently visit the area for consultations. Some of these specialists also utilise the Murray Bridge Hospital for surgical procedures. Letters of referral must contain relevant medical information and supportive documentation such as medication listing etc.

Clinpath Pathology Services have a clinic open Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30 to 12.00 noon. It should be noted that they do close on public holidays.

As a service to our patients, we maintain a system to remind patients of routine tests, check-ups or other preventative health issues with a phone call and then a follow up letter if required. Your permission is requested on our new patient registration form. 

This means our practice meets the minimum safety and quality standards as outlined by the RACGP.
